There may be several reasons for this. Here are a few solutions:
Never reuse leftover powder. At the end of each day, discard any excess. Only pour in enough powder for one day of use.
Never pour leftover powder back into the container. Doing so will contaminate the entire batch.
Clean the device every evening using a toothbrush.
Have the sealing rings replaced at least once a year.
